May 1- 31st: Romina Wixom

Romina leaves today for Berlin to visit her brother.  She leaves in her wake a chicken coop made entirely with found materials, with the help of her father, her boyfriend, and various others.  

This is Matt Robinson, Romina's boyfriend.  He is an artist and a high school teacher.

This is Romina's father, Richard Wixom. He is retiring this month after 35 years of teaching middle school in Kingston NY.

Homemade amaretto made by Romina's father by soaking cherry pits from a tree in their yard in alcohol for long periods of time. Delicious and not too sweet.

If it doesn't fit through the front door, hoist it over the back wall into the backyard.  Romina found this readymade chicken coop structure at Pratt and wheeled it 5 blocks back.  Now the question is whether to track down Mark and Fluffy from last year, or to buy new chicks.
