Sponsoring one of our 6 chickens will get you a chicken
dinner for 4 on a night of your choosing, within two weeks after the chicken has been
slaughtered, which depends on it’s age and projected life span. You eat chicken all the time and have no idea where it comes from. This is a chance to know exactly where your local food was raised, and how it was born and died.

1) SOLD! RIP White Legbar #1 was born in 2012 in Brooklyn, and
lived at The Den for 2 years. She was made into soup which was enjoyed
by Simon Critchley and a group of artists on May 7th, 2014.
2) SOLD White Legbar #2 was born in 2012 in Brooklyn, and lived at The Den
for 2 years. She now resides at a coop in Bed-Stuy, on Jefferson Avenue.
Buy now and secure your chicken dinner 2 years in advance! These chickens will be ready for slaughter in 2 years:
Cream Legbar #1 was born in Florida on tax day, 2014. She will reside at The Den for the next two years, at which point she will make for a delicious dinner for 4, each.

Swedish Flower Hen #1 was born in Florida on tax day, 2014. This hen will reside at The

By buying into the meat or egg share, you enter into a contract
with the artist and you must abide by the rules of the contract:
Dinner good for 4 people, wine and other alcoholic beverages not included
Must be redeemed within 2 weeks of chicken’s death
You decide whether you want to be present at the time of the chicken’s death.
You must wait for the chicken to reach an age where it makes sense for it to die. This could take up to 2 years.
